1996-2006 Waterloo & Cedar Falls Public Libraries Technical Systems Administrator § Managed all aspects of network LAN, WAN, Internet, security, design, acquisition, installation, configuration, training, documentation, and maintenance for two VPN connected LANs totaling 200 nodes. System serves about 70 employees and approximately 6,000 automated patron sessions each month. § Managed relations with various state and federal agencies including E-Rate, the Iowa Communications Network, State Library of Iowa Online (SILO), Cedar Valley Library Consortium (CVLC), Big Pipe consortium, and the MIS departments of the cities of Waterloo and Cedar Falls as well as with various vendors. 2003-2006 Waterloo & Cedar Falls Public Libraries Technical Services Librarian § Managed acquisitions, cataloging, processing, planning, and training, for Waterloo Public Library technical services department with 5.5 FTEs. § Supervised relationships with ACS vendor Innovative Interfaces Incorporated, as well as bibliographic services from BCR and OCLC. Provided consulting and installation services for the Cedar Falls Public Library RFID materials inventory and security system. |
